House of Stain

A two-way open baffle, built as an emotional reference.

An LiiAudio F-12 12-inch full-range driver paired with the W-15 15-inch woofer, mounted on a valchromat baffle inside an asymmetrical stainless-steel U-frame. Swapping left and right tunes the speakers to a bigger or smaller room without touching the crossover. The W-15 is dual-voice-coil, which is why the back carries dual binding posts — bi-amp the woofer separately from the full-range or drive both with a single amp that holds composure under a 3 Ω dip.

Recommended amplification

Bi-amped through the dual binding posts: a SET tube or Class-A low-noise amplifier on the F-12 (the midrange will reward the refinement); a 200 W solid-state on the W-15 for the bass. Single-amp setups need to hold composure through a 3 Ω dip.
